Welcome to the VUSSP Jet Propulsion Laboratory

The VUSSP Jet Propulsion Laboratory is in charge of ALL unmanned spacecraft (space probes, satellites, etc.) once they are deployed from their launch vehicle. The VUSSP JPL is also the place where the Deep Space Network is operated and controlled.

The JPL will track all interplanetary and lunar spacecraft utilizing the Deep Space Network of satellites currently orbiting the Earth, and from tracking facilities located 120° apart across the Earth. There are only 4 of these facilities, 2 located in Goldstone, California, 1 in Woomera, Australia, and 1 in Johannesburg, South Africa. The person in charge of Tracking and Data Acquisition for the JPL DSN is Sarah Littrell.
